SCIENCE

Mode of Action

Understanding the mechanism of TULIP

Disease Control Mechanism

TULIP works by converting into principal fungitoxic compound methyl benzimidazole carbamate (MBC) inside the plant, which prevents fungal cells from dividing and multiplying. Once absorbed, it moves systemically through the plant, providing both preventive and curative protection against fungal diseases, including protection for newly developing plant parts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common queries about TULIP insecticide

Heranba TULIP converts into principal fungitoxic compound methyl benzimidazole carbamate (MBC) after being absorbed by the plant. This prevents fungal cells from dividing and multiplying, stopping the spread of disease. Its systemic movement within the plant provides both preventive and curative protection against fungal infections.

Heranba TULIP is generally compatible with most insecticides and fungicides. However, it should not be mixed with alkaline compounds, sulphur, or copper-based fungicides. Always perform a small-scale jar compatibility test before preparing a tank mix.

Heranba TULIP is recommended for use in papaya, apple, tomato, bottle gourd, grapes, rice, cotton, and soybean to manage diseases such as powdery mildew, scab, ring rot, anthracnose, rust, blast, sheath rot, sheath blight, grain discolouration, alternaria leaf spot, grey mildew, and pod blight.

The recommended dosage is: Papaya: 286 g/acre Apple: 286 g/acre Tomato: 286 g/acre Bottle Gourd: 572 g/acre Grapes: 286 g/acre Rice (Blast, Sheath Rot & Grain Discolouration): 450 g/acre Rice (Sheath Blight & Blast): 286 g/acre Cotton: 300–400 g/acre Soybean: 300–400 g/acre Apply as a foliar spray with adequate water to ensure uniform crop coverage.
